Dear Art Lover!
As I sit down to introduce myself, I am filled with an unprecedented emotional overflow: excitement, gratitude and a sense of calm, all at once.
My name is Shubha Sahay and I am a creative soul. I love to create different kinds of art that elevate space experiences.
With every art, I try and create something unique and bespoke.

Now, how it all started and how I became a full time artist is a journey of over 2 decades. I always had a creative bent. When my cousins and friends were preparing for engineering and medical exams after 12th, I was the only one who at that time wanted to pursue Fashion Design as a career. I was fortunate to get into NIFT in the year 2001. Yes! It was a long time ago!! While studying fashion there, I understood that I have an affinity towards Kidswear which I took as a major in design. Worked with different clothing brands specialising in Kidswear: Levi’s kids, Gini & Jony, Peppermint Kidz to name a few.

The next chapter started with me getting married and moving to Chicago with my better half. There, I took to art full time..still as a hobby. I also had my first born, my mini me while I was there.
When I came back, I started an art venture. My daughter was all of one year at the time. it went well for 9 years. I had my son in 2017 and continued with the art venture.
But, being creative is the core of my existence. I restarted on my own and this time, my art venture is called “Babuni”.
Here, I create with all my heart! Starting with Wall murals to wall plates- nameplates – customised art – furniture makeover – furniture design- canvas art – events – curated events and workshops.

I welcome you all to be a part of my creative journey and explore art through my creative pursuit. I would love to connect with all of you and create epic stuff of different genres.
